Hello and happy Friday, to you all!
I’m sure you all are grinding through your workday, working for the weekend. And I’m sure a good portion of you are anxiously watching the hands on your clock tick down to quitting-time, so you can rush home to get ready for your Friday D&D.
But, once your session ends, you’re probably still hankering for more Dungeons & Dragons. Well, fear no longer! As Heavyshelf is proud to unveil Session 0 of our new weekly series Good Morning, D&D!
Join Erick Schwartz (that’s me!) as he tells his handcrafted story of mystery and suspense in what is titled Strangers in Alzurkania. Tune in to witness as team-members Shane, Sara, Parker and Moose explore and strive to survive in the foreign and untamed continent of Alzurkania.
Session 0 will be focused on discussing the campaign, rules, expectations, and addressing the audience. The team will be locking down their characters and setting up for the opening scene of this campaign. After all of the formalities have concluded, the adventure begins.
Good Morning, D&D! will debut on Saturday, March 9 at 9:00AM EST on Heavyshelf’s Twitch Channel using Fantasy Grounds as our platform. But, it isn’t expected for everybody to get up early to witness adventure! If you miss our stream, check out the re-runs on our YouTube channel! And if you’re a commuter and want to listen to our glorious voices tell the story of mystery and adventure, check out our audio-only version!
And if that wasn’t enough, premium members will have access to behind-the-scenes recordings, such as character workshops and session -1!
We will be awake and ready for adventure…will you?
Metro Exodus was embroiled in a controversy just before launch when its publisher, Deep Silver Games, pulled the game from Steam a mere two weeks before release. The decision meant that Exodus, which was developed by 4A Games, would only be available through the Epic Games store on PC. Needless to say, many gamers were not happy with this turn of events. Many went so far as to state that they would not play the game until it came out on Steam in 2020.
The Game Bakers have announced a new Sci-fi RPG that’s due to be released in 2020. If you haven’t heard of them before, they’re the developers of the highly stylized Boss battler, Furi. Haven seems to have to the same art style and music direction as Furi which already guarantees a level of quality that’s worth checking out in my opinion. To see the full details of their press release as well as the teaser trailer please see below.
Black Future ’88 has been announced as coming soon to the Nintendo Switch. Developed by SuperScarySnakes and published by Good Shepherd Entertainment, the 2D synth-punk roguelike action shooter is set in a dystopian world where the year is always 1988.
Respawn’s Apex Legends has taken the world by storm, with the playerbase reaching 25 million at the latest count. It is unsurprising that with the popularity of the game that Respawn is still working hard to ensure that continual improvements are happening. The latest patch also hints at new features, according to data miners.
The latest content patch went live as of 8 EST this morning. After ripping through the hills on this Driftboard, I think this will be a welcome addition to the many other vehicles in FortNite. Let’s just hope it’s not actually a limited time item as described in the 7.40 Content Update notes below.
